Pop Art Cupcakes
I was asked to come up with cupcakes that showcased words of inspiration in English and in Spanish. I've always been a fan of pop art so I figured I would do these kind of with that concept in mind. The flavors are Red Velvet with cream cheese frosting topped and vanilla with vanilla buttercream all topped with MMF.

Little Yellow Corvette Cake
I made this cake yesterday. It's a 10" round with a MMF molded corvette on top. The client ordered it for her husband to celebrate their 34th anniversary. She explained to me that this has always been his favorite car. Flavor Leelee's Specialty Vanilla Cake.

Pink Daisy Cake
Ok, so this is not really a fun cake, but I had to do it for a client that really only wanted to do was have a taste of Leelee's Vanilla Specialty cake to see if she likes it to then order a more elaborate cake. I've made this cake before in another color. I hope she likes it.

Witch Cake
This is a pretty big cake and I enjoyed every part of decorating it! The flavor is Vanilla/Hazelnut, with nutella filling in the middle. Frosted first in yummy vanilla buttercream and topped with MMF. The Moon I did with two semi-circle pans that I put together with nutella filling and frosted and covered with MMF just like the bottom cake The only difference is that the Moon is made out of a pound cake recipe so that it would hold it's shape. My favorite part of making this cake was making the witch and her side-kick black cat, these are also MMF. I LOVED how they came out! This cake feeds from 50 to 60 people. This is my interpretation of Debbie Brown's cake.

Screaming Cat holding on to broom!
Halloween Cupcakes
The flavor for these cupcakes was Leelee's Vanilla specialty covered first with Vanilla Bean buttercream, and topped with vanilla flavored MMF tinted in Royal blue and sprinkled with edible white glitter. The hats, brooms and pumpkins are all made of MMF.
Halloween Pumpkin Cookies
I love how these cookies came out. Golden brown and perfectly even. These are Lemon Chiffon sugar cookies decorated with lemon zest flavored MMF. To die for!!! Great now for Halloween or without the Jack-o-lantern eyes, nose and mouth, they can be great for Thanksgiving. These cookies are huge, 3x4.

Piston Cake - Cars Cake
The flavor of this cake is Leelee's Specialty Vanilla with vanilla bean buttercream icing and details in MMF. I made it for a little boy turning 2. The Piston Cup is made out of Rice Krispies Treats and MMF, (the kiddos will enjoy that sweet trophy). The little car was molded of MMF as well.
Rice Krispies Treats Sneakers Tutorial
I've been swamped by questions on how to make the sneakers from Rice Krispies treats and since I had said that I would post tutorials and haven't, here you go:
Things you'll need:
Rice Krispies Treats (of course) You can buy these or make them yourself
Pizza cutter of a sharp knife
Paste food color (I use Wilton)
fondant tinted in the colors you are making your shoes ( I used grey, black, white and orange)
and your hands

First you determine how big you want to make the shoes and start adding RKT to get desired size. Then, you start molding it and giving it shape.
Once you have the bottom shaped like you want it to look, start working on the upper part of the shoe by pulling from the RKT and adding more as needed.
Your shoe should resemble a dutch shoe. If you are making a pair, make it now so that they are both the same size because once you start covering it with fondant you won't be able to have an accurate measurement.
Once your shoe is shaped, roll out your fondant, (not too thin) so that it covers well.
Cover the inside of the shoe first and have the fondant hang outside the shoe, then create the tongue of the shoe. Cut the front and lateral parts of the shoe and adhere them.
Once your shoe is covered, all you have to do are the embellishments that will finish the look. Make six small circles for where the shoe laces go and with a pointy tool make an indentation. For the laces, just cut strips of fondant and place them carefully across the shoe and with your point tool make them look as if they were coming out or the circle by pushing them into the indentations you made. Add a white strip to make the brim and make marks on it as a sneaker would have. With a tool make indentation so that it looks line stitches.
There you have it. Your very own RKT and fondant shoes. Hope this tutorial helps you make these cute sneakers. If you do, I would love to see them.

Pumpkin Patch Cake
Today is Sunday and I got home from having lunch after church with some good friends, put a cake in the oven and continued working on all the things I have to do for Lauren's birthday dinner, my Thanksgiving dinner theme for this year, (menus, favors, napkin rings, place settings, and details), surprisingly I'm ok with what I'm doing for Christmas, thank God. Then I proceeded to decorate the cake. The decoration is very simple but I think it says Fall well.
Flavor: vanilla/lemon covered in MMF. The little pumpkins I did like in 5 minutes and did some little vines, leaves and that's all folks!

Cake for a Marathon Runner
It is amazing what advertising through blogs, websites and Social Networking like Facebook Pages can do... I have made so many cakes, cookies and cupcakes for people I've met through these venues. For this I thank my husband for telling me not only to create these, but to make them look as professional as possible. This has not been an easy task because I am not a techie, but I am very persistent and a perfectionist (sometimes a bad thing, but in this case a good thing). I am swamped daily with questions about shipping within the states and international that it has me doing homework about packaging and shipping and handling. I thank God for this overwhelming blessing!
The client that placed this order is a person I don't know personally but lives locally. She called me and told me she wanted a cake for a friend that happens to be a runner. She told me to get creative and well... this is what I came up with; running shoes made of rice crispies treats and MMF and a water bottle made of rice crispies as well, you cannot run and not get thirsty, right? Flavor: Leelee's Rum. Everything on this cake is edible. This cake serves from 25 to 30 people. Needless to say I totally enjoyed making this cake!

Another Guitar cake
This cake was for a little girl's birthday. The mom told me she wanted the cake to be buttercream and as much as I like to work with fondant I went ahead and said yes. I was pleased with the outcome of this cake. the details are made of MMF. The flavor is Leelee's moist vanilla (new delish recipe by me) with a guava filling, very tropical tasting. This cake serves over 65 people hands down. It is 4 inches high and 27 inches long, pretty large. When the client picked it up with the birthday girl she was very pleased.

Hispanic Heritage Cake
I designed this cake for a corporation where they were celebrating Hispanic heritage month. The client asked to come up with a design of a cake for 70 people. This is what I came up with. The cake consists of three tiers, the top one being a half a circle covered in MMF tinted in blue for the ocean and green for the continents that I free handed. The next two tiers were decorated with Latin American flags, shhhh... some are missing, I finished it off with a rope border on top and a simple border for the bottom. The client came to pick it up tonight because their luncheon is tomorrow and what she said to me was, wow Leelee, te la comiste! This made me feel really good because I'm always nervous when I design something for someone. I always want to make sure I've interpreted what they want well, and I did! I'm sure they will enjoy the taste even more! I've been enhancing my recipe here and there and I can truly say that it is 10 times better than what it was!

Train Baby Shower Cake
This cake was for about 20 people. The little train on top is made out of MMF that I added a bit of tylose to make it stiffer. the cake is chocolate and vanilla marble. the star buttons and letters are all made of MMF.

Train Centerpiece
I made four train centerpieces for a shower. I went looking for little train wooden shapes and the only one they had was red and didnt go with the color scheme so I did the next best thing, purchase them and paint them with acrylic paint. Now they look like they belong. Hurray for paint and brushes!
Things that remind me of you Cookie Bouquet
This cookie bouquet has an interesting story. The client asked me if I could make cookies for him without a particular theme, but of different things that described his relationship with his girlfriend (where she's from, favorite TV, shows, favorite video game, political party, things they argue about, comic books they read), I said, sure... So this is how this bouquet of cookies came to existence. It actually tells a story. I will never forget the clients face when he saw the cookies. He said, "she's gonna love it". It was funny because there is a cookie happy face with a bullet on it's head and I was mortified when I thought I had to make this cookie like that, but honestly, it was actually cool. I took a picture of some of the cookies. I also discovered that I have to purchase better quality paint brushes because painting with cheap ones is not a good thing.

Blues Clues Cake and Cupcake - Magenta
This cake kept me so entertained! I loved making Magenta (Blue's sidekick) and all the details on the bottom tier. I took several pictures so that you can see the sides that you cannot see of the shot. In addition to the cake, the client also wanted some cupcakes with paw prints. I'm so inspired that I think I'll make some cookes, but not today!

King of the Jungle Cupcake tower
This was truly a very busy week! I had lots of cake orders and unfortunately I had to say no to people that I really wanted to bake cakes, cupcakes and cookies for. The truth is that in order to deliver quality work, I must dedicate the right amount of time for details. This is why I always say to everyone and have it posted on my web to please contact me at leaste 2 weeks in advance.
King of the Jungle- This cupcake tower was for a baby shower. The flavor is chocolate and vanilla marble cake with a hint of orange liquor with butter cream for the cupcakes and MMF for the actual cake (topper). The lion figurine and palm tree were made out of gumpaste that I made days in advance. I also made centerpieces for this party with the lion theme. The client was so happy when she saw them.

I made seven of these centerpeices.

Tiffany Cake
OK, I know I always say this, but... I had sooooooooo much fun making this cake!!!! I loved making the color (luckily I've kept Tiffany & Co. boxes from gifts my hubby's given me) for the fondant and all the intricate details to make this cake. Everything is made with MMF. The flavor is my specialty, Leelee's rum cake, with Dulce de Leche filling. I'm looking forward to the cakes I have to make next week.
Mini Cakes
I felt so honored! I was asked to make the mini cakes for my church's marriage vow renewal service. They were at total of 33 4 inch round mini cakes. I had to keep the decorations to a minimum because they were so many and I had so little time since I also had other cakes to bake as well. Luckily, I had the help of my oldest daughter Ashley that has mad skills. Normally the one who helps me is Lauren (also very talented), but she was busy.
The experience at church with my cakes was amazing! As the couples left the service there pictures were taken and then they proceeded to the reception area, there they signed a marriage certificate and they received there mini wedding cake (one per couple) with a drink. They were so happy to receive there cake. After tasting the cake they returned to ask if I had business cards, to the point that I ran out of the ones I had taken. Some people started to talk to me about upcoming events in there near future and assured me they would be calling me. I am so thankful to God for this opportunity. I love that I am able to pick and choose the things I want to do and I love it!

On the Road Again Cake!
I made this cake for someone that wanted to give her husband something special for his birthday. He drives a white truck. So we both decided that it would have been a good idea to make him a cake with his big white truck. When the person who ordered the cake saw it, she gave me a hug! I wonder if that means she loved it?!!! Yes, she did and to me that brings such satisfaction. Anaother satisfied customer. I thank God every day for the gift of creativity!

Mod Mom Baby Shower Cake
Mod Mom Cookie on a stick
This is a cookie on a stick I made for a baby shower to be the topper for a cake. I used a graphic and carefully cut the cookie, then I made the details in MMF. This is where my drawing and modeling skills came in handy! These can also be made as party favors for a baby shower and wrapped in a cellophane bag wuth a nice ribbon or in a cute box.

Butterfly 1st birthday Cake
This cake was made for a friend"s daughter's b-day! All vanilla covered with MMF. For 40 people. It's funny, I had said I was only going to be baking no more than a cake a week because this is something that requires time to achieve a professional looking piece and I work full time, but as of lately I have been bombarded with orders that I cannot refuse. What I love the most is that my daughters have shown interest in helping me and they are both very talented and have the same sense of perfectionism that to me is crucial. I consider my self being very blessed!!!

Mickey's Playhouse Cake
Starbucks Cake

This is a cake I made for someone that loves Starbucks/ The flavor of this cake is Capuccino, a new recipe I created. People that I gave it to taste absolutely loved it! The cake is made with 2 6 in tiers and an 8 inch that I carved to give it a tapered look. it's stocky because the size this person drinks is the tall (small). Coverd in mocha flavored buttercream and then covered in Fondant including the logo.

Lighthouse Cake
This was a fun cake!!! I made it for a bridal shower where the theme was... you guessed it... Lighthouses! This cake is edible top to bottom (except for the base and the dowel holding the light house). Details are made of royal icing and MMF.
The Lighthouse
The LighthouseJonas Brother's Guitar Cake
I enjoyed making this cake so much. It was for a little girl that loves the Jonas Brother's. This guitar can be made to look more grown up, like for a Teen that loves the JB too by using other colors and giving more texture to the actual fondant. The flavor of the cake was vanilla with vanilla bean flavored butter cream before adding the top layer of MMF. I made a 14 x14x3 inch square cake to carve the guitar box and then an 8 x8x3 square pan to make the long part of the guitar with hardly any cake to waste after carving.
